Side Swipe Collision

Hello Forum! I am new here, so please forgive me if this is posted in the wrong section.

I own a 2009 G37S Coupe, Moonlight White, and I was side swiped by an SUV that came out of its lane late last night. It was a hit and run and I could not get the license plate of the SUV.

I would appreciate it if someone here could assess the damage from the pictures I've attached. I am told the Pearl costs a fortune... Can anyone provide me with a ballpark figure on what it might cost to fix this?

Thanks...

Based on the look of it, I say it's about $1500 in damage. That's assuming the door is repairable and will not need a new door skin.

You can file hit and run with insurance and will need a police report... You did get one, right? Typically with hit and run, you do not have to pay deductible and you will typically not be penalized (all dependent on your insurance company though).

Yes, I immediately filed a police report and my insurance was notified; just waiting to hear back from them. I was expecting more like $2,000+, but I'll take it in to the body shop for an estimate tomorrow.

Dudeee that sucksssss assssssss, but I'm in the same boat as you. I just walked outside my house and there was my pretty little Athens Blue, with a busted fender. I need to either replace or fix the fender, but its smashed in and the wheels touch it. I filed a hit and run and hopefully the insurance will cover the $500 deductible.

I hope that the people that are doing construction next to my house admit fault and pay for damages. They were kind enough to leave empty beer cans laying by my car.

Of course I could have caught him, but the accident occurred near a freeway entrance that he was able to take; I missed the entrance, so by the time I made a U-turn and got onto the freeway, it was like searching for a needle in a haystack!

My Infiniti body shop told me that it is Pearl... It sure looks it, but then again I suppose I am not 100% positive about it.

I had a '07 Ivory Pearl G35 coupe with the same hit on the same door. They replaced the door skin and blended to both the fender and quarter. It came out to almost $1500-$1600. Also in FL u have to pay a deductible no matter if it was a hit and run. Dont know if it is any different in other states.

In my experience, a hit and run is covered under Comprehensive damage and a deductible will be charged, unless the offender is found, which can be a long and cumbersome process, and often leads to delays in payment.

MW does have a pearl. It does require a base coat (white) and top coat (pearl).

It turns out I need a new door skin as well. Total repair cost is $1,643! I'll post a pic of the result tomorrow.
