Wink

If u willing to pay 16k. U might want to consider a 04-05 G35 coupe or 350z of the same year. At least you will be close to your dream. You'll get a chance to hone your skills in a comparable car until u can afford a new one. Then when u graduate and get a job u can trade for a G37 or G38, by that time? Lol.
One last thing...
Ur gonna fall in luv with lots of cars in your lifetime. Believe me!

lmao lol yes i have fallen in love with many, and more to come. i was considering getting a g35 but im not so into it like the g37, i bet if the g37 was out of view, the g35 would be perfect. im sure i can get a decent 35 for $16k with low miles. My dad bought my brother a new mazda 3 2006 4 door for $16-17000. It was a complete waste in my opinion for a mazda 3, he couldve gotten a 35 that was still in good shape.

Bro, i hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Infiniti's are one of the most expensive production cars to repair. The damage on that car is a HELL of a lot more than $2500. Do NOT purchase that car. Spend the $16k on something else used in much better shape that doesn't need repairs. That car will be a headache for the rest of the time you own it. It was salvaged for a reason.....let her rest in peace.

I see you've added a poll....I DEFINITELY support getting a used G35....great car.

if you can get it for 16k do it ONLY IF the guy who quoted you $2500 to fix signs a paper and you get it in writing. If I were in ur shoes i still wouldnt do it tho.... wrecked cars never drive like they used too

Don't do it. Be prepared to spend at least 5k to 10k to fix this car half a***sss, unless your friend is going to do the labor for free. It won't even be close to a full G37 because you will be cutting corners to save cash. G37 minor parts are expensive. Example, the weather strip for the front fender is $60 bucks (just for a 6 feet piece of rubber). The pinstripes $30. The radiator cover is $60. Painting the parts is also very expensive. Your cost is going to skyrocket. Just not worth it.

From head on picture in your first post, it looks like the impact beam is not centered and has shifted over toward the drivers side. Possible frame damage?

I was thinking the same thing Terry. Frame damage = no go, you do NOT want the headaches that come with that.

The G35 was my "affordable" dream car when I was in college. I was in love with that thing and told myself I would get one after I graduate. In late 2007,when I could finally afford one I thought about it and waited for the 37's to come out. And I'm glad I did.

Listen to these guys, forget about this car. It is going to cost more than 2500 to fix it. I suggest buying a '04-05 G35 for abiut $16K and buy the G40 when it comes out in a few years.

I'd say wait 5 years, and hope a G38 comes out. Haha. Maybe it'll be sleeker and have 400+ ponies?

looks like definite subframe damage. This car will cost arm and leg to fix.

save up, once you're ready and you know it's right, get a new G without anyone elses mark on the armrests...you'll be alot happier!

IDK I would say if you can get him down to 10K then take it otherwise I agree with everyone to get a G35. There are tons of them and 350's in that price range that are not wrecked.

Dude dont get it. I am an insurance appraiser and you have a lot more then $2500 worth of damages. Using oem parts; the headlamp ($914.23) airbag ($765.92) hood ($575.64) and the fender ($307.82) alone puts you at $2500. Writing a quick estimate for you on what I can see on ur pic, I'm already at $6465.35. Good luck with trying to find aftermarket parts.
