CLutch Rattle while not in gear?

HEy everyone,
I searched a few threads already but couldnt find what mine was doing. I drive a 09 G37S coupe 6mt. I noticed this when i pull into my driveway and i release the clutch i hear a rattle, like its a ticking rattle but when i push the clutch in it goes completely quiet. Then when i let off the clutch you hear a "pukk" then the rattle starts. PRess it in - rattle go away. Let off - rattle starts. Also sometimes when im shifting from 1st - 2nd. 1st feels like it just shoots out lol? like on its own.

Anyone know?
Thanks!

Normal. All our clutches make these sounds.

Throwout bearing. Everyone on this forum with a 6MT complains about it; we all have it. It seems that some have it worse than others (or perceptions are different). Either way, search for throwout bearing and you'll find a lot more information.

I asked the dealer about it. He tells me its because our cars are "performance" cars that they have more "noises" lol. I dont hear the noise now, my exhaust overpowers it.

I have the same thing. I hear it's normal, although it's annoying as heck sometimes.

Yeah, this is the one thing that is bad to me... Earlier manual Nissan's did not make this noise but this is my 4th. manual G since 03 and they ALL are noisy in neutral, press the clutch and it's quiet...

I've learned to live with it and don't think about it until the subject comes up here again.

It's not the throw-out bearing or clutch. It's the transmission input shaft reacting to the engine's power pulses. The freeplay/lash creates this "rattle". A light flywheel exagerates this phenomenom even more. Depending on mfg tolerances some G's "rattle" substantially more than others. If the tolerances were kept closer to ideal you wouldn't have this. Listen to a Porsche clutch/transmission idleing in neutral.. dead silent.

yeah, don't worry too much....my G make same noise and I was worried when I heard the same noise but I didn't know well about our car in that time. our G or other new cars have been thru many many tests and inspections. Possibly can occur problems from manufactor but car can have more problem depend on your driving behaviors. it can't be perfect because its machine.
