Do you have the same problem with BOTH ikeys or just one? Both ikeys most likely means a problem with the car.

Also keep in mind, the more often the ikey buttons are used, the faster the battery goes dead.

Doesn't matter how you open the door, the car reads the signal/battery strength once inside. If you are not getting the indicator, your battery is still OK. That is a very common battery size so you can get one just about anywhere that sells batteries.

I think he's trying to say battery life in the ikey is longer becasue he "barely uses" the ikey's buttons. The transmitter in the ikey uses more battery power than the RFID by itself.
