Yeha maybe the 2 door Maxima thing was a bit harsh!!! lol Sorry I just wrote that after curbing my stockers up when I almost hit a deer!!! lol Honestly I drove a number of different cars in trying to make my decision on what to do next, and quite frankly I had the opportunity to drive an 04 Audi S4, low miles, 6mt 8cyl motor and I loved the thing almost more than any car I have driven yet....amazing car, if I could have gotten it for under 19k out of the door, I would have considered it, but the carfax on it was a tad bit shady!!!! I appreciate the comments guys....

Nahhh you're good man! That's what is great about these forums....you can freely express your opinion about the car in a open format. Seriously, post up pix of the 335 when you get the chance. That's definitely a sexy car (and I still kinda yearn to own one lol).

im almost reaching 2 years with mine, went several times to the dealership, first case was that my coolant fan not working on high tempreture :/ . and all the other times are for fixing that annoying squeeking noise coming from the wheel dash, they even replaced the whole thing under warranty, and now its still squeeking :s

yeah , i expected better from a japanese lexury car.

My friend had a 335 as well, and you have no idea how much time that car spent at the dealership. His turbos would shut off, had the brakes replaced 3 or 4 times, the vanos was replaced twice, and a bunch of other stuff. He lemoned it gladly because it spent more time at the dealership than in his possession.

My friend's 335i fuel pump died twice already in two years, my dentist's 335i turbo died on him in three months. I am staying away from Bimmer myself.

Good luck with 335. 2 friends can't have enough praise throughout the lease term and 1 had nothing but trouble for 18 months, all the electronics keep frying and engine light came on like weekly.

I'm glad you got all these problems solved before I bought my car.

8 months, 5.5K miles and only issue has been the roof creaking. Problem solved first but I can slowly hear it again so will bring it when I hit 7.5K mile service...

Good luck with the 335, know a few people who own it and have had varying issues as well.

I'm on the 23rd month and I haven't had any issues so far. Yeah, my brakes squeak a bit while I'm braking going in reverse, but other than that, the car has been solid. I'm at 20.3K miles right now (freakin racked up 13k in less than a year, compared to half that the year before) and no complaints. Sorry to hear you got so unlucky with yours.

i bought the car because of its perceived reliability. consumer reports gave the G the highest honors, i.e. full red dots down the line.

that's not to disqualify the OP's experience; im sure plenty of people experience unusually high problems, especially those in the 1st year model. and it sounds like he experienced more than just 1st year jiggles.

the reason why i buy Japanese is b/c they are like an ant colony; efficient and hard-working, which results in low-maintenance vehicles... but every once in awhile a product leaves the line with sub-par build and the consumer pays for it.

anecdotal evidence is great but if we step back and analyze the statistics, overall Japanese cars, and specifically Infiniti, are producing quality products. i hope my car is one of them.

Yes absolutely all, you can not simply judge the whole brand of car by one experience, and yes I am fully aware of the issues that the 335's had too. Which is why I got a certified one with the maintenance warranty! I do mostly hear that our cars G's are very reliable and like I said, maybe mine was the exception bc of the first year jitters....The only thing that I really was kind of annoyed with was that anytime I brought the G to Ray Catena Infiniti and it had a problem with it that I saw was welll exposed on the forums, or well know among Infiniti blurbs and articles, the service advisors and people I spoke with there never knew of anything I clued them into, like the brake squeak, or the seat bubbles, or the windshield chatter......but maybe there werent too many G37's being service there? Idk, I just wish they were more in touch with the specifics of the vehicle....When I had my 350z and my M3, anytime I was in for warranty work or even general service, the people I spoke with knew more about the issues than I did mostly...And I was an issue ***** being that I owned both cars and really stayed on top of them! lol

Hey it could just be the dealership as well.....
