New here

Hey Guys,
Just joined the forums, but I have been lurking here around for the past two months. I am getting ready to purchase a White G37S within the next two or three months. I don't really know if I should buy pre-owned (with less than 20k miles) or new. I do however, have a lot of plans for that baby and I really cant wait to get my hands on it. My current car is decent for work and all, but I am really looking for something sporty and luxurious. Something that I can drive fast and still maintain that luxury car appearance. Anyhow, just wanted to say hello to everyone!

If I get into detail, I am basically going to do the following within the first six months:
5% tint all around
Powder coat rims (which are the best stocks I have seen to date)
Install 20mm H&R spacers
Install H&R springs
Overlay the roof and rear valence black
Install a roof spoiler
Install a front splitter
Smoke out the tail lights
Install some 8000k HID's
Iron-Man the Headlights (if I can find someone near Long Beach to do so)
Install a good sounding Exhaust system (HKS maybe)
Install Injen CAI

Those their would be my initial so called "mods" when I get that baby. Hopefully within a year or two I will install a Twin Turbo set-up and all the good engine stuff, if I feel the need for more speed ;^)

We just bought a used 2008 G37 Journey with premium package. Priced out today it just tops over 40k msrp not including tax & tags. Ours was a lease (per car fax) and had 16k miles on it. It was missing a second intelligent key and the passenger visor was hosed, things the dealer took care of. What I had to pay for was ...floor mats, ipod interface cable, trim piece missing on seat and center console cup holder insert. Other than the mats the rest of the items I only noticed after the sale. We got a GREAT deal, saving over 10k. I never used to be a "pre-owned" type of guy (I'm real **** about car break in) but we have been very happy, other than some real minor scratches (have to look hard to find them) the car looks brand new. I say look at the pre-owned market, the warranty carries over. Just inspect real carefully what might be missing or broke and get the dealership agreement to fix/replace those as part of the deal.

I think the dealer breaker would be if your getting auto or manual. If manual it doesnt really matter as 08 and 09 are basically the same. If your getting auto, get a new 09. 7 speed tranmission
