I'm sorry, and why would you want to do this?

Been searching for this answer too. From factory the impact sensor is pointless. I have hit my window extremely hard with no luck in setting off the alarm to the pout that I question if it is really on the car.

Doc... Most people don't know about this feature since it was new for 09 and few cars have it. It is a vibration sensor for the OEM alarm. From factory the sensitivity is so low it would take breaking the window for the alarm to go off which defeats the purpose of the sensor IMO.

I have this on my Coupe. When I researched it, it was a microphone installed in the roof of the car and if a sound is dedected, then it triggers the allarm. Currently the alarm will not go off until the car it out of level or something happens to the wiring. If someone breaks the window without this they are inside and can steal the car. With it, the alarm goes off and the car does not go anywhere, but you have a broken window. This does not sound useles to me.

I have triggered the impact sensor with relatively ease.

look by the passenger's kick panel, i saw it there while running the amp wire
if you lower the sensitivity you will experience the passenger's window roll down and up when you get in the car and close your own door.

Sounds easier to get an aftermarket shock sensor with adjustable sensitivity.

just called up the dealer and they told me its a window breakage sencer, not so much of impact for doors or bumper or kicking tires. it will set off alarm only if someone break the window. this 130 dollar i paid was useless and pointless. what can i do when someone already break the windows and took something and run away ??? I thought impact sencer was like you park at the plaza and someone bump in to your car bumper and you heared that happen and go to your car so you know wassup and talk to another person.

Update!!! dealer called me back that impact sensor can adjust sensitivity.
I have tried to see how sensitive is it and I found the spot is where the front winshield top corner. If you hit it little hard, it will set off the alarm, but if you hit else where like doors...bumpers....it won't set off the alarm. but when the bus or truck pass, it set off the alarm, very interesting, so anyway, call up your dealer if your car come with vehical impact sensor and tell them adjust it more sensitive. it work, not only if the window break, it work the same as after market alarm.

End thread.

There is a TSB to fix this, they screwed up the wiring. Also the TSB tells you how it's wired up, for those that want to add aftermarket....
