Lost one of the two keyless remotes for my G37 6mt coupe, and am looking to pick another one up. Dealer says its going to cost me 80 bucks for a new key and then 110 bucks to program it. He says that there's no way around the programming costs because starting with the 2009's you have to reset your car to the key and not the other way around.

I talked to somebody at "keylessremotesonline.com" and they said the same thing. Would love to see if anybody here has a suggestion.

Buy the key on ebay for like 30 dollar instead of 80 and save 50 dollar is the only thing that you can do.

OP: confirmed, all keys have to be taken to the dealer AT THE SAME TIME for programming (pairing) to the car via CONSULT III.

Tip for those buying on ebay ... make sure you buy from a reputable seller. There are a ton of i-keys floating around from the recall.
