lemon?

Yeah it's only a lemon if you have to push the damn thing everywhere you go. At least that's what the dealers make it seem like after all the effort they put into not accepting your lemon.

Lemon law does not only have to do with powertrain/mechanical. I have managed and/or acted as an expert witness in many lemon law/goodwill/buyback situations and lemon law always comes down to one of three factors: Use, Value or Safety. Speakers are certainly not a safety issue and it would be hard to argue that value is diminished significantly enough to get three votes in a lemon law hearing; however having bad speakers, coupled with numerous trips to the dealer without remedy, does negatively impact the Use component. That being said, I would not pursue lemon law for this item as you are unlikely to prevail. I will tell you that you should document literally everything you do with respect to servicing your car. The dates, names, exact comments etc. If you go to a lemon law hearing both sides are afforded the opportunity to present evidence and I can assure you that the dealer will not have notes with that level of accuracy. When questions of fact arise and you have excellent documentation and the dealer does not all you have to say is: "my records indicate....what do yours say?" when the dealer rep or attorney says that they do not have exact details of that particular issue you then say "Well I guess we will have to use my notes then". You will gain credibility and have an easier time getting the benefit of the doubt in other areas of the process. Good luck.
