just picked up my 09 coupe but ...

when i got home i noticed a door ding was already present on the passenger side quater panel. i called my sales guy and he said he would make arrangements for a paintless door ding guy to repair it. i'm not familiar at all with this process.

any thoughts? will this come out looking good?

it is an 09 coupe/blue slate/graphite/premium/sport/ikb/clear bra

thanks,

joel

Usually these types of repairs are good. Let them try it and see what you think. It's better then having them attempt a fill/paint repair which will be much more difficult to do.

I have used the paintless dent removal on several occasions. It is nothing short of amazing if you have a good technician and the dent will literally disappear.

i've had a master tech take out a fairly large elbow dent in a g35 and when he was done, i couldn't tell it was ever there.

lots of experience with this.... they will do one of two things.... roll down your window and go through to the inside of your door through the window opening to massage the dent from the inside.

OR

they drill a small hole on the inside of your door (the part where your door lock fastens to the body of the car) and go in that way (almost like surgery) to massage the dent out. The small hole is then plugged.

Either way you'll be very happy with the process.

I had to use them about 2 weeks after I got my car. As long as there is no crease it is very fast and easy

Dont worry, this actually works if theres no crease. I hope they don't charge you for that, i would be mad. Normally its 99 bucks for each ding, depending on how big or small it is.

They repair cars at dealerships all the time. (In many before a car has had its first owner)

I used this process on my old MX6. I had that car for a total of 10 years. After about 5 or 6 years I had accumulated a number of dings. Using this process the shop removed every one of them. The car looked brand new when finished. With that said- I don't think that you will have any worries.
