This is driving me crazy

I have a g37x coupe which i just bought last week, and i just noticed a tiny little light next to the sunroof switch that is on. I never noticed it before tonight, and it's driving me nuts. how the hell do i turn this thing off? It looks like a map light, and i even checked the manual but cannot find an off switch.

There is no off switch, it is ambient lighting.

Yep. It's always on.. its ambient lighting.. I don't think it's annoying at all. I think there's a way to change the color also, That would be dope.

Two words: duct tape.

Or just leave it alone, it looks awesome!

I'm just kidding about the duct tape, don't do that

I just got my car too and I like the shallow ambient lighting but what I dont understand is why there is only 1 and it is on the right hand side of the console? Why didnt they include 2 in order to provide a soft light across the entire dash?

The bulb would be easy to swap. If you pull the rear edge (closest to the windshild) of the console down and toward the rear of the car, the bck end will pop out and then you dust have 2 plastic clips that hold in the front that pop off.

It keeps you from douching yourself with coffee at night. It's a nice and thoughtful touch.

Does anyone actually have the full ambient lighting kit with the lights in the floor board area?

Yes, I do. It lights the floorwells up very nicely. I'm glad that I had it installed- it adds a nice touch to the car.
