This is gonna be one tough decision to make!
If you can get all the stuff you're taking with you into the G, just drive it dude. It will be cheaper and you won't have to wait for your G to show up, you'll already have it. Shipping + plane tickets + rental car = way more than driving and spending a few nights in a hotel along the way.

Ship It

Just my opinion.... I would ship the car. when i bought my G it came from Atlanta to Ny. the shipping was around $500 it came on a huge trailer sitting on the top row of an open trailer, No dings, no scratches, etc.... the process is pretty easy they come pick up the car then they fill out a sheet showing u all the little marks u have on ur car before it leaves. they load it up and they are off. no hassle of driving no added mileage, i mean 2400 miles is not a drive around town. But back to the point. When the car arrives they will do a final inspection and you can compare it to the original inspection that was done prior to the car leaving. You pay the guy and there you have your un-driven G with no added wear and tear.

Now this open, closed trailer situation is over rated, no matter what option you choose the trucks are insured and thats why they do an inspection. if any thing happens to your car they pay, you sign the inspection sheet and thats your contract.

I used these guys to pick my car up, they did a good job and there pricing was great came on a HUGE truck with no damages @ all.

http://www.quickautomovers.com/index.php (Get a few quotes compare pricing from other companies, ask about insurance and make sure there licensed)

Oooo & one more thing , Even major car Dealers Like Nissan & Infiniti use open Trailers to transport there new car inventory which we buy.

I used L. Hansen's Forwarding to ship my car from the states. I don't know if they're the cheapest, but they know what they're doing (especially importing/exporting vehicles across the border), and they're reliable and fast.

The Canadian economy welcomes you as long as you spend all of it while you're here. Otherwise, GTFO WE NEED THE JOBS.

Free health care has a price, and a lot of marketing dollars go into making sure the rest of the world thinks we're fur traders living in igloos and have beavers as pets.

Don't be a puss.

I rode my MOTORCYCLE from Los Angeles, CA to Buffalo, NY last year. Then went down the east coast and all the way back to California.

Over 7500+ miles on a motorcycle. No cruise control, no A/C, no heated seats, etc.

If I can do that, doing it in a car is a piece of cake.

It's not about the destination, it's about the journey.

Make something memorable out of it.
