K Ive had my G about 2 months, now and for the last 2 weeks i noticed a smell, mildewish... well under the floor mats on the drivers side is wet not a puddle but a big wet spot..... i shampooed it, dryed it and it keeps happening.... i cant figure it out Please help..... im gonna end up taking in to the dealer.. but i wanted to try this first!!!

 

Take it to the dealer. It sounds like your AC is dripping condensation on your floor inside the cabin. I had this happen on a car a long time ago. When they fix it, they will likely replace your carpet as well.

 

Have you hand an alarm or anything else installed that required them to drill a hole in your firewall?

 

a laser defuser.... the puddle is in the middle of the drivers side.... what do you think...

 

so they had to drill a hole to run the wires? someone just had an issue on here with an alarm install that wasnt sealed properly.. odds are you have the same issue..

sit in the car and have a friend run an open ended hose (no nozzle) over the sun room and all over the seals of each window for a good 5-10 mins.. take note if you see any dripping from the roof or around the door areas. if you see no water from those two areas, odds are it is coming from where they ran the wires for the diffuser install.. once you find the source and repair it, it's time to take out your interior and pull the carpet to wash it and get all the water out so it doesnt get moldy and ruin the smell of your car or your health..
