I have a 3 year old daughter that was playing in the backseat while we were getting ready to leave the house. My 4 year old comes racing in while I hear a scream (cry) in the garage. "Sarah's being squashed!!!" Sarah was in the back seat trying to put the front seat back to original position by pushing that button next to the head rest. Well before she could get out of the way when the front seat was sliding back, her head and body was being squashed between the seat back and the car frame..

I was like holy sht!!! The manual lever to put the back up was stuck due to the pressure that was on it. So it had to be slowly moved up electronically.

Sarah was ok, a bruise on her back and cheeks were red due to being squashed.

Whew!!!

 

Sorry to hear that. Holy chit is right! Thats crazy madness bro. Never really considered the seats to be that dangerous. Good thing she is ok and a good thing u were near by to get her out in time.

For sure, I don't allow my kids to play in my car, but we were getting ready to leave the house.
I guess she was trying to be a big girl and put the seat back for daddy.

 

my G crushes kids I trained it to do it when kids come in my yard. kids dogs and jehovah witness all got to look out for my G. Now I am in the process of training the FX to do it too.

 

Ya i hear ya only takes a second for stuff to happen. Maybe look at disabling that switch

First few weeks when I had the car, I already fore-see the potential of this happening.

Kids don't really listen or learn well verbally, it some times has to be hands-on trainning.

Hopefully she'll be scared enough now not to push that button any more.

 

Crazy!!! but I definitely wouldn't leave kids alone in the car. You never know what could happen. I think this is small compared to what could have.

Although, I had to tell her daycare provider this morning what had happen. Don't want her to have any ideas of child abuse.

But now, she'll think it's child negligence or endangerment. J/K
