advice on 08 BO 6MT road-rash

bought the car used with 17,000miles and it has some road rash on the hood. Nothing major just a lot of little white dots (they cant even be felt, only seen) Is there anything that can be done to get this out or is it just something I have to accept driving a black car?

Get the bumper painted and put clear shield (clear bra). Do not try to touch up, it looks ugly.

You could always try drcolorchip. I have never used it myself, but some other people on the forum claim that it works fairly well. Actually, the forum could use a nice start-to-finish review of the product!!

I'm really tempted to try that drcolor chip stuff. My front end isnt too bad yet, but i'll probably be ordering some soon. I've got some chips on other places of the car that need touching up too.

I have not had the same experience. I used it on a black car and it worked really well. You could see where I touched up the paint but only if you looked closely... more than 5 ft away and it was not easy to see.

I hear that Dr. Color Chip doesn't work as well on light colors .

Anyway, for $39 it's worth a try IMO.

i agree from more than 5 feet away you can't see it but when the suns shining on the car you can see it. What got me frustrated was the blending solution. It was really hard to get it to be smooth and exact color match.
