Loaner car now $7.00 at my dealer
Dropped off my car at the dealer for a problem I've had before. Grinding noise when tilting the sunroof up. Drove a G37 sedan to work...7AT...pretty nice. Picked up my car after work. Receptionist asks if I filled up the tank back to full..I say yes. Then I notice her writing $7.00 on the invoice... surprise...$7.00 loaner car fee! Not a big amount obviously..but definitely caught me off guard. Apparently, this started 3 weeks ago. Told receptionist and service manager that the service guy didn't tell me that when I signed for the loaner in the morning. Service manager said...sorry can't waive it..and just walks away. Receptionist adds that it was added to cover maintenance costs of loaner cars. Service manager also was not clear as to whether this is true for all Inifiniti dealers. Guess I'll have to find out or...wait to have any warranty work done when I get routine oil changes. Too bad I switched to Esther oil...won't be able to go back till another 7000 miles.
Anyone else have this experience?

I had my G in for a scheduled service today and to have the muffler replaced (damn rattle). I was given a loan car and paid a $5 cleaning/refueling fee. I paid the same fee the last time I had my car at the dealer so I know its standard with mine, however I don't have to return the car with a full tank (though they are given out with only half a tank of gas in the first place). They do have a $95/day late fee for loan cars.

At my dealer...they started the "bring loaner car back with full tank" rule a long time ago. If you don't...they charge $30. However, I actually like this rule. Before, if you got the car at half tank...you're left trying to guess how much to put in and end up filling up more than you have to. In addition, they started limiting the mileage to 100...after 100 miles...there is some rate per excess mileage.
Only today, was I aware of this loaner car fee.

in Sep. a week after I bought it, I had to take mine back to get some paint swirls and unidentified bumps in the paint on the left side of the trunk lid taken care of. They gave me a loaner sedan and I didn't have to pay anything. Drove the **** out of it though :P

I was in for service the week before last, and they didn't charge me anything, but they DO ask that you bring it back with the same amount of gas in the tank, as when you get it (1/2 tank).
Hey, I'd gladly pay $7 for a G37 sedan loaner. My dealer has mostly '07 (& '08) G35x's - I haven't had one with more than 20K miles on it. About 8 months ago they gave me an earlier one (prev generation) and I could REALLY tell the difference!
Even with what some of you are paying, it's better than $55/day for a NEON, or a PT Cruiser. At least it's a G!
Hey, an '07 G35x convinced me to order my '08 Coupe. I fell in love with the interior improvements, and the tranny's DS mode. AND, with 306HP (as opposed to my 280HP) it was FUN! I like to take them out at 2-3 AM on the nearby state highway - actually a 2-lane blacktop, with speed limits 45-55 (so the cops'll allow 60-70 without any hassle) and most traffic lights MILES apart
I'll have my car in next week - maybe I'll get a G37? Well, I can hope

I just picked my car up last night from a 2 week stay at the dealership. I had a loaner EX35 for 2 weeks. I wasn't charged for the car. Usually the loaner cars that I get from them have zero gas in them and are pretty dirty. This time, however, the car was clean and had a full tank of gas in it. I returned it with a full tank and there was no issue. I'd have no problem paying $7.00 a day to get a car that was clean and had a full tank of gas, instead of hunting for a gas station after you get the loaner car, so you can get on your way.

I got a loaner (EX35, ugh) when I got my muffler replaced and they didn't charge me anything. I also kept it for 3 days after the work was done because I live out of town and couldn't get off of work. Atlantic Infiniti in Jacksonville is a really good dealer IMO....
