#17
I had read this thread,
then I went to Best Buy to pick up the new Mos Def album
and then was coming back home about an hour ago and saw a white Audi A5 with the matte black overlay
running from the hood to the trunk
so I pulled up beside him and asked where he got it done
and he said Sticker City
coincedence? I think not...............

Stickercity is just down the street from my office. The Lambo I have seen at many Lambo/Ferrari meets. When I first saw the Matte Lambo, I thought it was repainted, but on closer inspection, it was clear that it had the Matte treatment. I found some Matte tags on the rear fender. Overall, nice job, is it worth the 3K??? That is a decision up to the owner and if you have money burning thru your pockets.

hood to trunk (over top) might look good, but the whole car just seems nuts..

Personally I'm a fan of the matte look. I've seen a couple on the streets including a porsche suv, an M6 and a Charger and all I can say is 'super ugly' (in a good way)
I do have a question though, since the color of the car is now changed does this affect the registration?

I don't really get the whole car is not aggressive enough to pull off the matte black look.
I mean it's just another color.
I could agree with that some cars will look better than others with this look.
I just saw acouple days ago a Rolls-Royce Phantom
4 door
in matte black.
Someone who lives around the corner from me had a matte black MB CLK, I'm not sure if it was an overlay or not though.
I think it just depends, and it's personal preference just like any other color available.

your better of getting a flat black paint job, Epoxy. My Boss just did his old skool charger, and it looks good. A lot of paint guys tried to steer him away from it though.
It's hard to find a decent vinyl installer.it's the same as a car wrap just matte. The only thing is on the graphic car wraps you can get away with slight flaws because your focused on the visuals. But on solid color flaws stick out like a sore thumb.
