My doors try to eat me and my passengers!

HELP every time i open the car door to get in or out.. they come slamming back closed.. I have been in many cars and have never seen it this bad.. unless i slowly open the door and make sure it locks into the open position, it will come slamming back at me.. today it tried to eat my leg as i was getting in the car.. it left a nice bruise..

anyone else have this problem?

Always did in my coupe... loved it cuz I never had to close the door myself.

Open your door gently, and find the 'resting' spot and you'll be fine.

You think these are bad? My 2004 TL was 100 times worse! But like Mike said, it's nice to not have to worry about closing the doors

I like that feature. You should move a little quicker.

Maybe if you are getting a little old you should trade it in for a Lincoln or Caddy

+1!! I have so many damn scratches and dings in the bottom front panel of my door from using my foot to kick it back open after it starts to close on me when I'm getting out. Whenever I have a handful of stuff and try to pop the latch and then shove the door open, it always comes swinging back closed on my shin. Pissed me off so bad one day I thought I broke the hinge from kicking it back open so hard!

Let's face it the G has some "unique" characteristics, one of which happens to be the door wanting to remove your foot from it's leg. What can I say the car def has it's own personality and it tells the owner it sometimes!

It's your car's way of saying "hurry up, ok let's go go go!"

I thought it was just my doors. ha ha.
It happens to me sometimes, but find the resting spot and you're good to go.

hehe it happens to me sometimes but never took much notice to it, c'mon it's not THAT bad when it happens. my old 350z would do that aswell

I think it's like owning a cat, yes you own it, it will purr for your amusement, you feed it(gas), buy it toys(mods) but deep down it despises you and wants only to eat your legs and cripple you

I never owned a cat myself, more of a dog person myself
