I kicked my door back open one time. My car transformed into an autobot and tossed me accross the parking lot. When I woke up it was back in car mode with the door wide opened... LOL

But seriously, I think tha tit's becasue the doors are so big that the weight and momentum from the rebound when you open it swings it back closed.

It's a lot better than my old G35coupe.... that thing got me so many times, it was getting ridiculous!!

Atleast my G37 is somewhat tame in that respect... just gotta baby it. Don't be too hard on the opening of the doors and it wont be close back.

last year i was a part of a focus group. they had me look at the G37, a BMW 3 Series, an Audi coupe and a MB coupe. I remember one of the hundreds of questions was how well the door held itself open at the 2 or 3 different positions. of course the test car was perfect. i've ended up like andrewdds, with scuff marks along the bottom of the door from where i kick it. the focus group paid me $150. not bad for 90 minutes of rating things on a scale of 1 to 10.

Ah ha, I am not the only one. I had an 06 TL and I hated that about the car. The car itself was great, but that door closing thing was a PITA.

The door has a very heavy feel to it.. i love it. I can close the passenger door w/ out even touching it. I have however gotten hit in the shin with the door more than once.

do you think if we all complain we can get infiniti to do somethign about it? My drive way is at a slant, so its horrible for me.. my old VW GLI never had the problem no matter how quick or slow you opened the door.. it would always stay in place!

^ I park normally going in my driveway.. so when i sit in the car, i just let the car roll back a little, an tap the brake. It brings the door to a close perfectly, its awesome.. i do it all the time. the ladies love it, lol.
