I live on top of a mountain so driving up and down everyday is an experience, always puts a smile on my face. Mine is completely stock, so I imagine like everyone else said if you got new sways and maybe some springs or coilovers it'd be even better, but I'm happy with it stock and not planning to change that anytime real soon. Good luck deciding and making a purchase.
I take it you mean in NC, right? (Sarasota is flat).
Well, that's good to know that you can say that driving up and down the mountain everyday puts a smile on your face. Perhaps with some suspension work done right away, it can be an even more enjoyable ride on the mountains. Thanks for your feedback.

The cars you are looking at are in different classes. The mustang isnt a canyon type car, more straightaway. The IS-F is awesome but in a completely different class. The 370Z is perfect for what you are looking for, but again different class. Its a sports coupe the G is a sport luxury coupe.

Sorry I should've clarified. Yes I meant NC, I go to school up here and spend a lot of time at our house here, breaks and summers in Sarasota. If you'll look at this map, I spend a lot of time on the route between Linville and Blowing Rock, just cruising around because I get bored easily and carving up those curves provides some good entertainment. I'm not asking anyone to compared these cars. I've done my homework and know the reasons I choose those cars. All I'm really asking is about the G37 on mountain roads and track racing. But thank you again.

Looks like an awesome road.

Well, not mountain, but I did find a good track video of the G37. It's from Best Motoring here in Japan. It's the only good track video I've been able to find.

1:09:618. It's not a bad time. Half a second better than G35's record, a full second slower than BMW M3 and Lexus IS-F's records, but not too bad. Actually, in the video it was impressive to me how well it took those turns. Sure, it's not faster than the made-for-track Evo's and STI's, but still impressive.

I guess it all comes down to your priorities; it seems that you came here with your mind already made. Daily comfort or performance? Cost?

Again, I'm not asking anyone for their opinions on comparing the car. I deleted my answers on the other cars because it seems to be causing people to change focus on the only question asked. The thread only asks for current owners' opinion about driving the car on mountain roads and track.

...here is a Best motoring video with a G35 vs M3 and 350 Z.

It gives you another general idea of how a G37 would perform on the twisties. You know that the G37 will perform a bit better than the G35.

man, the g35 driver pulled off some amazing shifts. anyway, g37 is pretty fun for open track. in fact ill be tracking my g37 for the third time tomorrow. i dont carve canyons so i dont know about that. stock tires are not bad, but ill see what the NT05s can do. stock brake pads suck though.
