I got into an argument with my father about something. He told me that when you startup the car your suppose to let the car make the beep beep beep beep noise then start the car otherwise you could damage the car or something. He saw that when I start the car I just start it up right away while it's still beeping. What's the beep sound really for? What does it mean? All Nissan/Infiniti cars make the same noise when the ignition is switched to ACC On. Is it a bunch of BS or what?
Tell your dad he doesn't know what he's talking about, that should be fun. If you weren't supposed to start the car right away, then they would have built a delay into the push-button start. Since we just hold the pedal down and push the button, we have no control over how quick the computer starts the car. I'll trust in the fact that Nissan engineers know what they were doing when they program the computer with the sequence for starting the engine.
I agree with the guys above me though in thinking the beep beep is for your seat belt. Test it out and let us know :P
I know what your dad is talking about..I do that to my altima se-r all the time before start up..I guess its a habit but on the G you can't do that at all...where in queens r u??
