How would you rate the G37's quality and dependability?
How would you rate the G37's mechanical/electrical (engine, ecm, ac, exhaust, wiring, transmission, etc) and physical parts (interior plastics, paint, leather, fabric, etc,) quality and dependability? Like on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best.
I'd give physical part a 6 mainly because of all the annoying rattles, creeks, and ticking noises it makes. The quality of some materials used is kind of poor too.
I'd give the mechanical/electrical part a 10 because I really haven't had any problems with any of that yet, not including any damage I've done.
Not as bad as a bimmer though lol. In the first 7,500 miles my friend is already changing a damn fuel pump on it. And he is the typical BWM owner that thinks all BMW's were made by gods or something.

With the noises people have been getting, I don't get them AT all. I love the coupe, very reliable. There is room for improvement such as trunk space and better paint, sooooper long doors. Other than that I love my G

Dont' know about long term reliabitlity as the car's way too new for me.
I would rate the G35 coupe that I had about a 7.
This one, I would rate 9 for mechanics for now, but a 6-7 for interior (mostly because it's not solid like a vault, but a bit squeeky in some areas).

I had a 2007 BMW 328i and it had FAR more squeaks and rattles than my G. I would rate the G a 9 for sure. Very little noise so far (11,000 kms) and most were cold winter weather related and gone in the spring.
Only mechanical issue was a seat heater switch being replaced whereas my BMW had 3 electrical issues in the same time frame.
Anyone can get a lemon but if you exclude those exceptions, the G is pretty solid IMO>

My buddies brand new 335s fuel pump went on him at 120miles on the odometer. We made fun of him for the entire month. $45k pos. lol

I'll give the car a 8 out of 10. The car has soft paint which I already knew but I didn't expect it to have this soft of a paint. Also, the rattles which it seems it never gotten fixed from the 35 =(. Other than that the engine is great and the tranny still feels good =).

I would say a 9.9/10 I have had 0 problems whatsoever and there are no rattles, squeaks, or creaks. I am absolutely in love with this car, the ONLY reason it didn't get 10/10 is because of how much work I have to put into keeping the OB clean...but that's also a little plus b/c who doesn't love spending some time cleaning their car

15k miles, 1.6 years, no issues or noises. I'd agree the materials used for the interior were not the best a no doubt chosen to keep it in the target price range however I've taken care of mine like an Egyptian mummy and I don't have any leather issues. Paint was the second place they saved but likewise have only had to polish it once... straight from the dealer where my trunk felt like sand paper and looked like they took sand paper to it. Hundreds of washes later no issue with the paint. I can't give ME 10 because they should have put a dual clutch transmission on this car.

The G37 has poor quality body fitment. I have at least 8 places inside and out that stick out like a turd in a punch bowl. Im like.. HOW CAN THIS CAR LEAVE THE ASSEMBLY LINE LOOKING LIKE THIS!!!! I'm not real happy with the QA at Infiniti.

8 for quality (deduction for paint issues mainly) and 10 for reliability. I have had no issues at all except for the horrible clear coat that is difficult to maintain and the high pitched whine at about 80 MPH that most people seem unable to hear.
44K+ free of any trouble like some are having.
