Unhappy with tints

Its been about a good month since I got my windows tinted. I got the 18% Carbon tints, payed $220. Overall, they did a good job on it. After looking the the tints, it looks far to light. It looks like 35%, is it cause i have tan interior?
If it is cause of the tan interior, I'm strongly considering getting 5% all around.

I got 35% all around and I have stone interior. I thought it was a bit on the lighter side, but I learned to live with it. Doesn't attract cops as much too *knock on wood*

Its because of the interior, but more importantly its probably the tint. I myself have stone interior and I have 20s all around and you can see inside pretty clearly. I think the tint and the interior play a role, but since your on 18s, I'm thinking the tint wasn't so great. Not the tint job, but the tint itself.

I got 20% Platinum on the back window and 35% Platinum on the sides and it's hard to see in unless the sun is coming in through the windshield. Looks like a mirror most of the time, I love it. Reduced the radiant heat inside significantly.

5 would be too dark.. i dont recommend. especially at night u wont be able to see much.

5% is not too dark I have it and love it and drive at night all the time

I got 35% Pinnacle Formula One tint and at first, I wished I got the next darker step (especially since ceramics are lighter than other types of tint). Anyway, I learned to live with it and now I'm glad I stuck with that decision.

i would imagine 18% would be dark enough... do you have pictures?

18% should be more than enough. Try putting up a sunshade on the windshield and see if you can still see through the windows.

ive got black int. with 5% tints and its pretty dark. and also its super comfortable during the day.

15% is a good mix between "legal" (28%+) and 5%. You can always put 40% on the windshield that will help the overall appearance of your current tint.

I have 5% and LOVE it. Looks great, keeps the sun out! I just roll my windows down if I see a cop cuz I've gotten a ticket already. but I know someone that tints so I had it re done for 60 bucks.
