A solution to the Front Plate Debate?

It is also a requirement set forth in the Illinois State Vehicle Code. You can be stopped and ticketed (the fine is higher than Chicago) but it is not considered a moving violation.
Also, in 2008 license plate covers were banned in the State of Illinois. Same deal as above - it's an equipment violation.

As a matter of interest, in Quebec no cars have front license plates and when you get licensed, they only give you one plate. Seems the government figured they would save money if they only produced half as many. They had to modify the photo radars as they used to only take a picture of the front of the car.
So if you don't want to move to Quebec then lobby your politicians with a new way to save money.

Ever see a front plate or bracket on any commercials or publicity shots?
The front end makes this car look a lot more expensive than it is....IMHO.

Really? Why do they still sell them in stores? I would have thought the state would ban them from sale if they were illegal?
My parents have it and never had a problem... hell my dad just got a ticket last week and he was not cited for having a cover.
