My friend and I walk outside a few minutes later to find the dude drilling holes in my front bumper to mount the tag. I told him I was driving the car back to NC right now so there was no need for the front bumper plate. Too late, he drilled the holes already. I later got plugs for it and it didn't look that bad.
i'm sorry but you let him push you around. you shoulda told them to get you a new bumper because you didn't want holes drilled in your bumper. or you weren't gonna take the car. even if you have bumper plugs, you can still tell and it doesn't look as clean as if you didn't have them. just my opinion though.

I'm not going to comment on the price because at this point it doesn't matter, it's not like you could take it back if you paid too much. For this reason, ignore everyone commenting on whether the price was too high/low, just be happy you own it now!

Welcome to the party!

graphite interior
got it for 39,900, and $500 for the pickup and delivery

with the 0.9 financing its $530 a month with 5k down

got the car delivered yesterday and love every minute of it
just sucks that im probably gonna have to put a front license plate on it b/c i dont want the cops to have an excuse to pull me over if i ended up having a beer or 2 somewhere.....
I would say its an Ok deal, #1 you could have prob gotten a better price, cause we are in April of 09 already, but at the same time the main thing is its the color you want, so thats all that matters, regarding the 09s you either get $2000 rebate or a 3.9% apr for 60 months, not both so 08 is definitely gonna be a better deal. I wanted to sell my car to you cause I wanted a 6speed mt. that was the main reason. Congratulation anyway.

Wink

Congrats on your new ride!
If you don’t have plans to move from your state that requires a front plate, I guess I don’t understand why it’s a big deal to have the holes drilled for the license plate holder.
I had the dealer put mine on and it looks fine. I would rather not have one, but since I have to, the bracket that the dealer puts on looks nice and is centered on the bumper…. best of all it was free.
If I ever move to a state that doesn’t require the front plate, I’ll get a fancy personalized plate. JMHO

yeah people keep saying i could have got an 09 at the same price, yeah but id also be paying 3.9 instead of 0.9

either way i bought the stillen plate mount for 70, no holes in the front, so if i ever sell it ill take the thing off

Enjoy the car and don't let others give you crap about the price you paid. As long as you love it, that's all that matters...

Welcome!
+1. Don't worry about anything else.. you got a good deal, and a good rate. You didn't get bamboozled by the dealership, and you walked away with a brand new car.

I would be happy, forget saving "250 dollars more" that's nothing compared to the total cost of the car. I am not taking money for granted, but when your car costs upwards of 35-40k, a few hundred should be the least of your concerns.

Enjoy the car, and let it be known that your mods alone will make the total cost of the car exceed 50k easy.. lol

Welcome to the family!

Nice purchase. I bought my blk/stone, '08 6MT w/ prem/nav in Dec. '08 for $37,500. At the end of the day, if you got the color combo you want and are happy with your purchase, then that's all that matters. Have a great time with it and remember to make sure you have gap insurance!!!!

Congrats on the purchase!! I'm glad you were able to get exactly what you wanted, and now you don't have to worry about any damage. Well played!!

As for price, I think you did very well considering your location and pickiness in color/options. You definitely could have found a better deal, but not up there in North Jersey.

Welcome to the club!!!
