Gotta love Infiniti
So guys my car has been in the shop for a week .... So let me tell u my story i was going home after school and i noticed very weird knocking noise from the engine.. so i was street away from my house right before my house i got a weird feeling that my engine was damged because same thing happened to my friends rsx blew a cyclinder... so i called toll free # they came towed my car to dealer.... kk after 2days they call me back saying oh yah your engine has been fired... i got 10,000 miles on it.. they go there wasnt any oil in it ... I am like wait i came in about 200 miles ago got my oil change and everything .. Finally of talking and stuff they realize when they changed my oil some how they put nothing or put very little so !!!! They ordered me a engine brand new one.... Just wondering u guys think my car will feel the same after everything??? btw engine costed $ 9,959 ... warranty for the win i want to lemon this ****!!!

It's not a lemon at all. It's in no way any poor reflection on the car. It went 200 miles bone dry! They forgot to put oil back in your car when changing it. That makes them pretty negligent. And you didn't check your oil after they finished the service. I have heard apocryphal stories of this type of stuff but never really believed that it had ever actually happened to anyone. Till now. Wow. Just wow.
That poor, poor car. This type of thing makes baby Jesus cry.

I think it'll feel the same. The new engine. That really sucks for your original engine and I would think twice before going back there to get warranty work done again.

Did the say anything about your Gen3? If not, they might just put it back on, especially when they probably don't have your stock intake with them, do they?

my gyott that's turrible... didnt put oil back in!
I used to check the oil all the time in the begining cuz i wanted to track oil consumption. Seemed like the dealer wd only put 5 qts of oil in, not the 5.2 or w/e cuz it'd always be a hair or two shy of the line.
BTW, i have noticed that my engine consumes about 1/4 quart of oil between changes.

good point, is there any possibility it was more then just a bad engine or something and infiniti is trying to save themselves money buy just covering it up to prevent you from getting lemon law and a new car ???

If anything I would have hoped it would throw a CEL, but the engine oil indicator is just set on mileage, its not a realistic reflection of the oil. You can change the Oil indicator to any mileage setting.
