exhaust or something smells...

I noticed it a few times before, but really noticed it last night while accelerating onto the highway from an off ramp. Basically I smell farts from what appears the exhaust, but not quite sure how I'd smell the exhaust from inside the car....not positive what it is and I know it's a quick car, but definitely not fast enough to make me sh¡t myself

anyone have this issue or heard of it or have ANY idea what it might be. This is the third of fourth time I've noticed this while accelerating decently hard. The car has just under 3k on it. Stock exhaust.

thanks

It's the catalytic converter, that's normal. If it gets really bad, take it to the dealer.

Could be your upper lip. lol jk

look under the car and make sure you dont have a plastic bag stuck to your exhaust and melting to it.

Most likely is the cats just burning in though.

I've had a plastic bag stuck to my mid pipe before and got half melted on. Pain in the *** to remove.

Maybe you're just getting a little too excited while flooring it and you're smelling farts out of your own exhaust

It's because of the hydrogen sulfide in the Catalytic converter...I forgot the exact chemistry behind it, but with a new cat, it's producing more hydrogen sulfide. The production will decrease over time, so hopefully it won't smell as bad after some more mileage.
