Better MPG with the 6MT coupe..

I had a loaner G35x over the weekend and it's mpg was HORRIBLE. It was averaging approximately 18mpg overall. When I was in my G37S, I was hitting 22.

No contest.

I didn't get why it had a terrible mpg, but I'm glad I got the coupe - I bet the manual is helping out. I started off with approx 16-17mpg when I first got it 2 months ago, but now I've broken the 20mpg+ mark once I figured out when to shift.

You guys with manuals notice a difference with manuals too?

^+1! Even when I was driving like a grandmother and trying to break 20 with city driving, the highest I ever got was 19. On the expressway I can break 24, but I have to stay under 70mph in order to do it. What are you doing different?

Wow that is low. I just finished cruising for about 20 miles at 70mph and it got 26.8mpg. I average about 19mpg, driving "normal" LOL

This is when I shift and I don't push the car in the city. I shift between 2-3, but I try to stay closer to 2.

I'm driving around an 08 G35 sedan and the MPG DOES SUCK. I mean, WTF? How could the MPG be so different from my coupe? This has the VQ35 in it and I know the 37 has better MPG but it is not a small difference. I can't wait to get my coupe back. F this.
