With or without is the question?!
Hello people,
I'm in the process of getting a G37 6MT (fully loaded), but given the limited 2008 inventory, I may have to sacrifice not having a Spoiler. I do really want the Rear Spoiler and have read that the dealer can install it too. I've also read that the Backup cam and the brake lights can be wired at the dealer.
My question is - What happens to the existing brake light which is already in the rear-window? There are a few threads on here about this, but has anyone successfully removed the rear-window brake light and only kept the spoiler one please? Does it look "clean"?
Any input would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Kev

everything G35 sells the replacement piece that you would have if you car came with the spoiler to begin with.

not eevery one is ordered w/ a spoiler. NY state law, you can't remove any other brake lights off the car (from the dealer).
you can purchase a OEm spoiler from the dealership if your car didn't come w/ it or you choose to install it otherwise.

I was in the same situation when I got mine. I think it looks MUCH better with the spoiler. Your dealer should be able to install it.
For mine, they connected the camera/light in the spoiler and disconnected the brake light on the rear shelf. Since my windows are tinted, you can't really see it so I haven't taken the time to replace that piece.
They charged me $125 for the install.

Great ... thanks for all the comments. Now I just need them to "throw" in the spoiler and install when I negotiate the lease. Aiming to get the deal done this week. Can't wait ... though will be sad to see my G35 go
