Splash Guards - Are They Worth It?

My coupe didn't come with splash guards and I'm wondering whether they're worth the $200-ish to go ahead and buy them and either try and install them myself or pay to have it done. What I'm concerned with are rocks and other debris from my own tires damaging my car. Is it worth it from a car care standpoint to get the splash guards? What are the pros/cons other than cost being a con?

I like them.. I've gotten them on ALL of my Gs. I think it adds some effects to the car, but also protects "some" as well.

even if they dont help much in terms of protecting the car, they definitely make it look a lot better. I don't think they cost too much either.. like $300?

I, too, bought my G37 w/o splash guards. But I ended up buying them 2 weeks later because I think it makes the car look a lot better.

I got them on mine and I like the way that they make the car look. They also do seem to help protect the lower body.
