6MT floor matt hell!

LOL...that's messed up.
Anyway my G37 is too new to have that problem, but I had similar problems in my Evolution & it came with an even cheaper floor mat than the Infiniti one. Another solution you might want to look into if you don't like the look of an all weather floor mat is either an all aluminum one or a heavy duty regular looking one.
I personally ended up with diamond cut aluminum custom fitted floor mat from another company, but they stopped making those. However, Momo makes some great looking stuff, you just have to figure out what will fit your car.
Of keep looking...I am sure their are other companies that make good solid quality floor mats also. Either way good luck finding something that best fits you.

Another thought........I think entering low slung cars "feet" first as apposed to "cheek" first contributes to the carpet shifting problem. In other words, First insert the "cheeks" in the seat and then pull in and place the feet. For us Clydesdale's (tall folks) sometimes this is the only way to get in.
Disclaimer; This is the only time I would recommend anyone to enter in to anything cheeks first!
P.S Glad I installed my winters for the Seattle trip. Slush, pine needles and wet lawn in our yard up here. Mats already look as they have been through the war.

I think mine has 2 pegs in the floorboard to hold it. Maybe that's why mine doesn't move???? I can't walk out to my car to confirm though, I'm on the other side of the world from it
And I do enter my car "cheeks" first cause I'm 6'2" so feet first doesn't really work out for me.....

I have the G37 Journey with Sport (AT) and the matt problem. But I believe mine is a result of the way I enter and exit the car due to close quarters in the garage so I can't open the long coupe door as wide. Need to push off more on the floor when exiting.

I do have this problem. Late production 08 6MT. The mat only has one tab on the back left side. The right side of the mat slides around and interferes with the clickety clackety gas pedal. I am hesitant to complain to the dealer for fear they'll laugh at me! But it does really suck when you see the 09+ cars have two tabs to hold the mat better in place. Will the all weather Weathertech mats stay put and not slide up into the gas pedal?? Once I figured out this was making it harder to drive smoothly I just pulled the mat out, but of course now the carpet is showing signs of wear. Thanks!

Hate to revive such an old thread but mine mat does the same annoying thing on the drivers side. It always pops off that little post and then goes where it wants. I was thinking some kind of cir-clip or similar to clamp around the top of the post and keep the mat from popping off. Did anyone find a good cheap solution for this vexing problem.
