They got me........

Took the G in for a scheduled oil & Filter. I pointed out a few things and took the loaner and off to work i go. I get a call later in the afternoon from the dealer. " We have good news and not so good". OK.......(long pause on my part) ........what's up. Well, turns out you G fell under the VVEL TSB so we did a reprogram to the ECU and the ester oil change on us, plus that slight shimmy at speed when you break was from the rotors, which we turned and that took care of the whistle when you back up ( removed the glazing from the rotors when they sit a while on the dealer lot). And we did a front and rear alignment and finally the air filters per your request.
Wow....nice job...what 's next. Well, you can come pick up you car when you pay us 265.00.
WTF are you serious? This car is under warrenty and 2 years free service and you DID NOT CLEAR THIS WORK WITH ME PER MY INSTRUCTIONS when I dropped it off. The bold statement was the key my friends as i did get my car but i did not pay the 265.00 I made up some BS about the alignment being cheaper at my normal dealer and the air filters would have been replaced for free at the dealer as well so I just paid the cheaper alignment. Don't take that $hit from them. They are desperate as ever........

I have yet to experience any of this "stealership" many people talk about. Granted, I've only got a lil over 11k miles on the car and haven't see the dealer much but they've been real good to me.

i dunno wut kind of stuff that is, but it is complete unethical/illegal to do work on the car without notifying you first or you telling them to ok it. especially if it comes to a monetary amount. you always get to ask 'so how much'
