Engine noise

Guys, finally got my G today. The more I look at it the more I like it. The car has 12,000 miles on it and has all the options except the AWS. Now to the bad, I drove the car to my home and the car drives very good, as I parked the car and lower the radio I heard a knocking noise coming from the engine compartment. I open the hood and it is in fact coming the left side like between the throttle body and the fire wall. So I'm already thinking warranty work already!! The car set for a while I started it and the noise is no more. Do you guys think this is related to that TBS about Ester oil and flushing some line or something like that, if you know the one I'm referring to. Should I think it is something worse? Thanks!!!

Either that or someone's been putting regular unleaded in the engine. Did you get service records with your purchase?

You could put in a full tank of 91+ octane and see if that does anything. If not, then you could do an ester oil change.

But of course, since you're under warranty, I'd say the best thing to do is just take it to the dealership. But I'm guessing it's one of the two things I mentioned.

Thanks for the reply. I did stop at the gas station and something funny happened. I was pumping gas and the nozzle stoped 2 times, so I'm thinking it is full right, so I'm driving home and notice that the gas gauge shows only 3/4 tank, and it did not move to full at all. So Ester oil is engine oil correct? What is so special about it, and how does it apply to this particular problem? Thanks!!!
