Front Ended Today! :(

Hey guys... sad day... very pissed off...

i was heading to the Gym after work. In a parking lot looking for parking. A car behind me, and a car in front of me. The Mazda MPV that was in front of me stops and starts backing up... I couldn't back up cuz there was a car behind me.... So I honked and I honked... to no avail...

This is my 1st 'accident', so im not sure what to do. I got all his info - and filed a claim with my insurance company. They suggested a couple body shops - but im not sure - anyone in the bay area (nor. Cal) know of a quality place to take my baby to???

A friend of mine mentioned that I could use this as an opportunity to put a kit on, and have insurance take care of it. Is that possible? How do I go about doing that?

Im so pissed!!!! The the freakin other driver couldn't speak english!

Man, two PG's ran into in one day. Sorry about the car man. Just make sure you take it to the best place possible to get fixed and dont take it back until its perfect. Something similar happened to me about a year ago. I thought i was strict and picky enough to the shop but its still not perfect. The paint is a little darker and the lines are not perfect. I never had time with school and stuff to take it back and get it done perfect.

- do some research on the body shops recommended by ur insurance company.
- choose the one that u most prefer.
- then tell ur insurance agent about ur choice. he/she will hook u up.
- then call the body shop to set up an appointment. bring ur car in and do all the paperwork. leave ur car there and pick up in a few days.
- car willl be good as new.

things to note:
- Check THROUGHLY when picking up ur car. new dings, scratches, blemishes.. fitment problems. window seams/linings, bumper/fenders/housing fitments...

I brought my car in to fix a scatch (vandalism) and the body shop fixed all as new (insurance covered). then on pick up i didnt check throughly at all.. so few days later i found 2 new scratches, abrasions on my clearbra, rear bumper poor fitment, driver side window is not sealed properly.. --> very hard to tell, need to compare both sides but u can hear some "air noises" in the cabin while driving, that's how i first found out about the flaw.

so bottom line is to check everywhere when u pick up and make sure they dont give u new cosmetic makeups... check for curb rashes, bottom of bumper rashes too..

I brought my car back to fix everything though.. no charge (duh)

good luck!

Sucks man.

Call your nearest dealer and ask them for their recommendation.
