On the record, I can't say I condone this type of behavior but off record, you can get a company that fixes your car to cover the deductible (assuming it's less than $750.00) and get your front bumper changed to sport, grill painted to whatever color, and add a lip/splitter. You got to work with a shop that does mainly auto body stuff and paint and they do some aftermarket stuff. If they are a younger person, you probably have a better chance of getting the guy to agree. =) I'm lucky that I have 2 friends that own autobody shops that let me do this and will help any of my friends out too. You just got to be in Southern cali.

sorry to hear about your G!. But I have a story to tell about our Infiniti's! For 2nd gen Coupe or Sedan! I work at a body shop, and there was this G37 Coupe that came in for repair. Had small bumper cover damage and his Drivers Air Bag blew! we were all like WTF? How can such small damage cause the Air Bag to go off. SO the Tech took off the Bumper cover, and there is no damgage to frame, or Radiator support, or any Bumper reinforcements!

SO took a week to get it back together waiting for parts, I looked at the tottal for his repairs, and it came out to $9900!! This is for Drivers Air Bag, Bumper Cover, small brakets, and a Headlight assembly and Grille! Frickin Crazy!! Don't ever bang your G, It's one of the most expensive cars to repair!!!

Also found out that the Air Bag sensor is mounted on the plastic fan shroud! which is a dumb place to put it by Infinit!, and thats why his Air Bag went off! so be very carefull guy's!

But yeah, im glad the airbags didn't deploy - i've heard they are sensitive. I'll just aski them to paint my grill black - see how much it'll be.. and might be a good time to get windows tinted....

i just into an accident in december and i brought my car to Sunny autobody in SF. they did a great job. couldn't tell it was even in an accident. i highly recommend them. they have two stores, i recommend you going to the one on pacific ave.

 

I feel your pain. On the bright side, it was low speed and there is most likely no structural damage to the frame. You did everything there was to do, the insurance will take it from there.

Try EMC collision in fremont..they've done a good job on my cls and 330i. They are pretty expensive but they really do awesome jobs! I will pay more and get the quality work done, especially it's some ahole pay for u!

 

Actually Solopresident on this forum had one of the most modded G37's and hes Indian, punjabi i think....and AhujaDaddy is Indian...and NoGoodName007 is Indian (but hes canadian so he barely counts)....andd me and some others...theres a good number...not as much as the Oriental Azn's tho haha! anyways welcome to the forum man! what state/area u from? Dude... im still so pissed... the day it happened... i was heading to the gym... i skipped the gym... went home.. and was just sitting in bed till like 3:00 am... i was furious... couldn't sleep... now all those what if's start running through my head... what if i left work earlier, or later.....

 

dont worry man...that front end is a easy fix! Find a quality bodyshop and it will look like new again..

You tell the bodyshop to mark up the price on the pay out and then have the bodyshop order the kit...

 

I live in Fremont too man. Sorry don't know of any good body shops for Gs around here. Was this in the parking lot for 24 hour fitness off Fremont blvd?
