So test pipes put up better numbers, and they're less expensive? What about raspiness, how do they sound?? I don't like that ricer sound and I thought the HFC's for the most part kept the noise level pretty close to stock.

i would say around 20-25whp.

cause i gained about 20whp after adding on just stillen gen. 3's and the cobb ap (the car already had Berk HFC on before this).

so lets say his HFC's put down around 10ish whp and the cobb ap another 10 or so, greddy say 5whp since its not full cat-back. about 25whp.

i got 10whp from my cobb ap (using "stock style" map)

Do yourself a favor, save up for a TT....

Why spend $5k+ for a POSSIBLE 20-30hp when you can spend $8k+ for a DEF 100..

i don't think $8k will even come even close to a reliable TTed G37.
def gonna need more than that.

i now you can purchase the kit for that much. but i said for a "reliable" TTed G37.

factor in labor costs to install it, tuning, possibly a engine management system, new clutch and flywheel to accommodate all that new power, a nice 3" free-flowing exhaust, gauges to monitor engine vitals and safety etc.

even Fireboy (who is TTed) said he would set aside $20k aside for the whole project as it will most likely all be spent.

and even after all that i mentioned...it doesn't even include any type of brake or suspension upgrades, wich is something that should probably be done.

I wish for $8 i can get the kit and then just little more and its good to go.

Thats great, and for $8K you will haver a big azz pile of parts that you have no idea how to install. Now add a few more G's on top of that and you have yourself a TT'd G37 but that puts it quite a bit more than $8K now doesnt it?

20K for labor/management etc. is about right. But honestly, how many people here really need that extra horsepower gain? Or have the money for it? If you're tracking your car then a TT is worth it, but just cruising down the street...save your money and spend it on other mods. Just my .02

You guys are funny, now you are answering a scenario that was not even an option for the OP.

You guys took him from dropping $2K to $20K.
