To take this in a slightly different direction, has anyone changed the cabin filter on their own on this car and can let me know where it is located? On my Audi it took all of 2 minutes to replace, so I hope this car is the same.

I also have that AC smell and I was surprised that G has this stinky smell too, but my previous 06 325 smell is even worse. I used to turn on the heat and set temp and fan speed to Max. Open all the window and let the car idle for 10 mins. It usually helps removing the smell for 2-3 weeks.

Anyway, this time dealer replaced the filter free when i complained about that stinky smell. IMO, dont use AC if you dont want that smell...

Hello all,

Here is a tip that I used for all my cars when there is mildew smell coming from the air vents.

Turn your heat all the way up and blast the air ducts for fifteen to twenty minutes. That will kill the smell. It worked on my BMW (2002), Audi TT (2001), and my G37S.

Don't spray anything to your car.
