I would be surprised if that was not covered under warranty. Its a defect in the car and should be covered by the warranty. I got a steering wheel replaced in a prior car because the writing on the cruise control buttons was wearing off, and that was a domestic car.

The problem is obvious. This is only happening to the forum members who are married, because they wear finger jewelry. So... If you want your steering wheel to look as good as new for the life of your car, you just have to avoid getting married!! Problem solved!!

That sucks man. I'm glad I got my car in manual. This way only myself and my dad can drive it.

Mine did the same thing although not quite as bad. I had a hairline scratch and I touched it up with a matte black touch up pen. Then I lightly polished over it with some Menzerna wax. Yeah I kno wthat was a jack leg fix but you can't even tell there was a scratch now unless you are lookiing very hard for it.

UPDATE: Scratches on steering wheel

Sorry, I could not find my original thread. Anyway, I had some ugly scratches on my steering wheel and I finally got around to taking my car to the dealership. They replaced the entire steering wheel! And if the scratches come back they will replace it again as long as the car is still under warranty!!!

Good luck to all!

BTW, my dealership is Sawgrass Infiniti in Coral Springs, FL
