we break in the car for the first 1000 miles for the same reason why we heat up our car on a cold weather day. I prefer to take it easy the first 500 miles on my car. afterward, its all fun from then on.

I took it easy for the first 600 miles. Honestly, i highly doubt i'm gonna keep the car for 100k+ miles anyways.

I have had two C6' Z06's and did the break in for them, waiting is hard, but from what I hear (At least in the case of the Z06 factory LS7, the engine is dyno'ed there) so good luck on the wait, but it will be over soon enough and then you can get on it!!! Still think it is okay to get on it a little just don't redline... until you get to your breakin miles.
