Miles till I can Push it

Wrong. They are not broken in when new, however you won't do any damage by driving it hard right away. You will actually achieve slightly more power and better gas mileage after about 10 - 15,000 miles...

Bought my car New years day, got over 600 miles so far. I did all these things on the test drive, encouraged by salesman to push it! Almost red-lined it a couple times and tested out anti-lock brakes, etc. I'm sure the previous test drivers did the same. Car had 30+ miles when I test drove it. So I figured it's too late to baby it too much. I drove my 2005 G35 pretty hard right out of the dealership and in the 4 years I owned it, never had one mechanical problem. Like the service manager told me "Drive the wheels off it, you've got a great warranty!"
