Black roof top on G35 and G37
I have seen a G37 has a black roof top yesterday on the freeway, any of u guys know what kind of mertiral is that? 3m sheets???? it looks nice, just like MB E55 AMG's roof top.

They can do it a couple different ways. Vinyl, paint, molded carbon fiber overlay. Do an advanced search on here with roof in the title. You'll find a couple posts about this topic and there are even a couple vendors on here that can supply you with what you need.
In my opinion, the only right way is to go with paint. Depending on your roof (sunroof, antenna) that would require removal of the headliner to get to parts in order to do the paint right.

IMO, black roofs fall under rice.. its like showing off you got a panoramic roof when you haven't.. which reminds me of ricers pretending to sound powerful with fart cans when they ain't got no power lol

Do overlay for now. So you can always remove it if you want to in the future. If you're guy is good, you won't be able to tell it's an overlay. People have always thought my roof is painted when it's just an overlay done really well with no seam or edges.

Blak roof on white is hot (especially with dark tint). Wouldn't do it with any other color though. I agree that painting is the best option but its permanent and costly...
