Just letting you guys know that their is a ECM (ECU) programming recall. Yesterday I took my G to get it's oil change and to complain about a ticking sound from my engine. When I got the car back, they told me the ticking was caused by something with the ECM. They told me they reprogrammed the ECU (which wiped out my reflash data) to make the ticking go away. It was part of a campaign recall.

So....if you guys have flashed ECU's (something other than Cobb Accessport), then be wary that you guys have to redo the flash. Otherwise, go get your updated ecu bug fix from Infiniti!

Is this the Ester Oil or VVEL TSB? Reflash your ECU and switch to Ester Oil? Sounds like what your talking about.

Are you sure it's a recall? If so is there a TSB, technical service bulletin?

Do you have the papers from the dealers?

Does this TSB apply to the '09 G37x as well?

Jeff Flanagan....good man! Maybe it was the ester oil thing...I'm not sure. All he told me was what I told you guys...either way, doesn't hurt to check just in case at your next oil change.
