Exactly! There are a couple guys with smoked taillights on here where they had it professionally done with paint rather than some stick on tint and they still have this big ugly chrome button. That **** drives me nuts.

I've got a little experience with paint. It will not wear off by pressing the button. The greatest challenge it will ever face is the sun. The car is garaged and I used quality products so I have no worry about that. If anything were to ever happen to it, I'll take five minutes out of my day and pull it out again and then repaint it. The painting part takes time to do it right but getting the switch out takes five minutes.

You can call her my girlfriend if you want, I don't care what you call her. I call her, "Her" or "the girl that lives with me." We've used this terminology for five years now, it's part of our humor and not intended to confuse anyone.

Spray tint of over-lays?

Do guys with the over-lays cut out the hole for the push button or just never use it anymore?

Whose car is this anyways? Seems to me like you are modding the car for her and she is just the driver with no opinion. Whose ideas are these anyways? Let her do her own mods or buy your own car. Both of her mods were done by you.

Since I am a girl who does my own mods, I can say this. My husband has his own car and I dont let him do the work on mine. Occasionally, I will let him help by sitting there.

IMO a car is a direct reflection of the driver. Poor girl is being told what mods she is going to have on her car. Not really her car at all.

I'll go ahead and let the "poor girl" respond to those two stupid comments.

That is an awesome picture! That's the clean look we're going for (except the chrome push button). If I beg, will you let me paint your button black?

Looks good on red, but not sure how well that would work on other colors.

Since the taillights are red on all cars I think it would look good on all. And then if the lights are tinted, the button should be black. Anything that helps hide the chrome button or blend it in is what we were going for. Some people like the chrome button, maybe because it goes well with the chrome emblems.
