I know it's not much, but it's officially my first mod with many to follow.









This of course was with the help of my boyfriend. He made me do all the work and hold the light. It was hard to get the new cover piece to click in. He came up with a nifty little trick to make it work.

Yeah, I had so much fun helping him fiberglass his custom intake for his 05 Ram that I wanted my own project car.

She did everything except get the clip all the way on. Then after about 15 minutes of failing myself, I had to regroup. Our problem was the plastic parts of the door handle were flexing too much inside. I tried getting the door panel off but I didn't have the right tool (I do now). So, I did a little more looking and found a hole in the side of the door covered with a rubber plug. I got a screwdriver, taped it up, and used it as leverage as we pushed on the new keyhole cover. Worked like a champ on the first try.

 

was it hard to get it off?

 

No, the stock piece came off without any trouble. It was the new cover piece that was hard to get on.

I wanna get this mod and I'd have it done by a pro, but I just wouldn't want them to mess it up. I guess for them, it's a no brainer to remove and put on, right? I mean from what I've heard, the only real downside to this mod is if you run outta batteries in your key remote, right?

chicks working on cars is hot...i agree....and there's plenty of them actually...trouble is...you'll get into arguements with them all the time cause you'll know one thing about cars, and the stubborn other will always argue otherwise....

You should still learn to do it yourself. If you ignore the low battery warnings and your ikey battery goes dead, you'll have to know how to take the cover off to get to the keyhole.
