You talked to a SHE? Women dont know the difference between OEM and aftermarket. PPG is the manufacturer and cutter of the glass. They do offer the glass for the G37.

haha, i just got engaged so im not alowed to say that. =p
but yea, i was researchin and saw the PPG makes glass and infact they are the OEM supplier for many companies. The link i saw did not include Nissan/Infiniti but i see your link does.
Thanks for the info... i guess i should be good to go now with Royal Glass Company in my area. Gonna go to the shop and not mobile crew... just to get that warm fuzzy feeling that its being done right and cuz of a bad expeirence in the past with a mobil repair.
Hey thanks everyone for their input here, and DiamondGCoupe the insurance man from FL! =)

PPG is a U.S. manufacturer of glass (Pittsburgh Plate & Glass). I don't think they are the OEM supplier. I would expect the OEM supplier to be a Japanese glass company. It should be on the windshield itself.
My question is whether the OEM glass is available. As of a few months ago, a friend in the windshield business told me OEM glass is not yet available here.

well i work for Omega auto glass and we only deal with OEM glass NOT after market for the simple reason as of safety OEM glass is any where from 1/8 to a 1/4 in thicker then non oem glass we are setting up shops in all no fault clam states so if you are in one like FL,AZ,TN and there is about 5 more we will be there soon to take care of your oem glass need yes it is little more in price some times but if you have full coverage it is free if you live in a no fault state feel free to email me at rptaz112@yahoo.com and i will see what i can do about getting you a window

Don't drive so close to other cars..lol !
My friend had the same problem with his G37S and I told him to not tailgate big trucks on the Interstate and he stopped having this problem. I know it's hard to not tailgate people so they get out of your lane so you can pop it in 3rd and cruise to 100.

^^lmao, yes... well i got it replaced with PPG glass few months ago or so. its been nice. they did a good job too.
So im driving along doin about 70, change lanes to get around a slow poke. Lane im changing into has a SUV at least a few car lengths ahead. I hear a loud *TICK*... im like DAMNIT... look all over and sure enough a see a little rock chip... more like a freckle.
Glass ppl said its not a crack and is such a small chip that it cant be repaired. I still stand by the fact that my car is a magnet for rocks! I wasn't tailgating.
