T.T Somebody key-ed my front hood

Hi all! I just found out that this one **********A left the key marks on my front hood. He left 4 marks that are 30 cms long. But i just found out that they only got through the pearl coatings. So the mark is not too deep. Am I supposed to go through the ICBC insurance company to get it repainted and pay 300 detuctible or is there any detailing that can fix this?

If it was done with a key... 9 times out of 10 there is no chance of it being buffed out. Depending on what your comprehensive deductible is you may or may not want to claim it. If you deductible is 300 and it costs 500 to repair (~500 is realistic), I'd just pay it.

It's usually best to keep the insurance company out of it. They will find a way if you make a claim to get the money back plus more. I would bite the bullet and pay for it out of pocket. Save the Insurance Company claims for the big ones.

F***ers! People who do that to Gs should be shot. Why hasn't someone invented a system yet whereby people like that get electrocuted when they touch your car? I mean, is it really so hard to combine the technolgy for electrified fences and cars??

Seriously though, sorry to hear about your car. Where did this happen? Work? Do you park outside where you live or something? 4-500 bucks sounds about right for a rebuff and paint job.

Typically on comprehensive claims (which covers vandalism) they don't do this unless you have a sketchy insurance company... But yes, I agree, unless the cost to fix is outrageous (as it won't be) I wouldn't file a claim either.

A government-owned monopoly.

No other automobile insurance company exists inside this province. It sucks. They overcharge you, and they can get away with it. Stupid NDP (democrats) set this scheme up a long time ago.
