damn that sucks. good luck. how fast were you going? i still think its weird my airbags never went off and yours did with so little damage.

 

I was going between 30-35, the roads were wet so I doubt I slowed down very much after I hit the brakes. From the looks of your avatar, I'm very surprised that yours didn't pop. I was able to brace myself, I pushed off the steering wheel and my head never even touched the airbag..

I dropped by the shop today where my car is getting repaired, it's definitely not totaled. Pretty extensive repairs, though. The passenger side quarter panel is being completely replaced, and the driver side one is going to be repainted. They're also going to send my rims off to be refinished (kissed a curb last week ) for $150 each, and paint my new grille black for free.. in their brand new paint facility. Should be <3-week turnaround, just in time for me to go out to sea .

The shop is dealing directly with the other insurance company, who is accepting liability. They're even going to get me a new Stillen front license plate, since mine totally snapped off.
