you pay for LUXURY not performance. how hard is that to understand? thats why the brand was created, because nissan felt americans would not pay that much for a "nissan". learn some history before you complain so much.

Speedhreak, I'm curious to know if you tried to lower your seat this time? I'm 6'4 and concerned about how it feels driving for a few hours in a car like that. I test drove the Sedan which was good but the coupe seems to be a bit small for me!

Remember that the G and the Z are very close in price (G35 to 350Z & G37 to 370Z, not G37 to 350Z). The idea isn't that you increase price and luxury but maintain everything else, the idea is that you are sacrificing a little performance for more luxury while trying to maintain a similar price range. Keep in mind the 370Z will probably go up in price just like the G37 did from the G35. Additionally, who's to say that the G37 won't get a 20hp bump come 2010?

I understand where you are coming from since I ride my modified GSX-R 750 (145 hp at the rear wheel) on the track and it s a blast. The G will never come close to that but It s a great balance between luxury and power with more go than most cars you will ever need to pass on the road. If you insist on gettin more HP you need to fork out the $$

If you want more speed that's what mods are for. Throw an aftermarket exhaust on with High Flow Cats and a nice intake, and I am sure you will have no problem keeping up with a stock 370Z, and you will have room for two more hot girls in the back seat than the guy driving the Z, what more could u want??

my point is why is the 370 faster better handling lighter then the g37 its the same engine same platform same chassis, infiniti is the only manufacturer that makes less power less handling than its sister company, im not bad mouthing the g37 its just that if your going to pay more shouldnt you get more, and not sacrifice speed for luxury it should be better on both not less.

^ marketing.
Yeah, lets make the g37 better in handling, give it more power, and lighter than the 370z. infact, lets make it so that the g37 is better than the 370z in every category, but lets keep them at about the same price. How is the 370z going to sell?

More like product segmentation/differentiation

more power is ok, lawdog, but this g wants to rev high and on some twisty roads with the revs running high it is a lot of car and really fun to drive. Essentially, it is still a cruiser and not a road racer, but it can have bursts of that high energy if you let her go and keep the momentum up.

I hear where you're coming from lawdog. I felt that the GTR should have been an Infiniti and not a Nissan. Oh well though, what can you do......
If you want a real upgrade, leave the girls car alone and get the GTR FTW!
