What do I gain by getting an '09 6MT?

I can get a pretty good deal on an '08 G37 Sport 6MT so I am wondering if there is any reason that I should get an '09 instead?

i'd take the 0.9 financing...

although I do wish I had the washi door handles.. it just doesn't make sense why they did the door handles different than the rest of the car that's washi.

The twisty **** seat heater controls are pretty sweet, I'll have to admit! I'm sure you can get those changed for less than a few grand though! As for the paint shield, well that might actually cost you the money saved.

hmm might have to think about that once my stock ones get all scratched up.

do the washi's resist scratching any more than the stock 08's? I've only had it about 2 weeks and I already have a small scratch from my watch.. and i'm being careful too...

The wishy washy is def more scratch resistant and should be an easy change/fix once the smooth finish ones start to look bad.

+1 That costs a lot less than how much more expensive an 09 is than an 08. Just tell everyone you have an 09, no one will know.

For the 2008 model, all of that silver colored trim is aluminum, and the pattern is called "washi." For some reason, however, the door handles were made out of this weird, cheap, scratch prone material. For 2009 they decided to not use that and replaced it with the washi aluminum. Washi is Japanese paper, BTW, the pattern was based off of it.

You do get this "self-healing paint" too. That might be a big plus, however so far there's no word as to whether or not it's really something special.

Yep, everything listed above.

Washi interior door handles (should have been in the '08s), scratch shield paint (also should have been in the 08 as Nissan is notorious for soft, scratch-prone paint), round heater switches. You also might get the full voice commands on ur Nav system. the '08 was somehow washed down and most of what was on the '08 demo was removed for some unknown reason.

Engine and trans will be the same as the '08 for the 6MT. '09 Auto has the 7spd tranny, no love for the manual tranny.

Well the G37 was just out for one year now right? So i don't expect a major update for another year or two. if i were you i would jump on a 08 w/ some good deals... Unless your more for having the "2009" model.

goodluck

in addition, the 08 will already be "depreciated" more than the 09 right out of the gate...it's something to consider if you don't plan on keeping it for long.
