Snow removal?

I live in NY, we get snow, yadda yadda yadda.... I'm going to be driving my G with blizzaks this winter. I want to know what should I do to remove the snow from my car? I think the snow brushes will leave bad scratches. Any advice?

I used to wash the snow off with water, it works as long as it is not so cold the water turns the driveway into a skating rink.

What if you parked your car in a school parking lot then comeback 2 hours later and its packed with snow and there's no water around?

i guess you just leave it then... it'll make a protective layer over your paint

Brushes are not fine. They will and do scratch and if you have black don't even walk by it with a brush. I usually jut brush the window off and leave the rest. You risk a fine for not clearing the snow off you car but better then scratches

The Canadians to the rescue!!!

I just use a regular brush and brush gently... it'll still put swirls all over but mine is IP, can't really see them so I lie to myself and don't care. (I'll eventually have it detailed when it gets worst enough...but I digress.)

I don't think there's anything you can use that won't scratch your paint, simply because you don't know how much dirt is in the snow that's caught from a storm blowing crap all over the place, so any sort of pressure, even with the softest brush, will likely dig the dirt into our sissy nissan paint.

The moral of the story is: don't buy a black car!

I clean the windows off with a brush and brush the snow off the rest of my car with my sleeve. I leave a few millimeters (about 1/8") on so I'm not scratching the paint. vv

you can use a brush just leave like 1/4-1/2" layer so you never hit the paint.

Anyways MAN UP, it doesnt snow that much here lol

I have to admit that the warm water idea made me totally LOL!! Damn I miss living in Texas. Anyways like the fellow CDN's mentioned just don't brush the snow completely off.
